Hello, kiddies.

Glad you could drop by today as it is truly a good day here in the Fufu Stew kitchen, even if it is powerful warm…

To start things off today, the third installment of “Rubber Souled” has been unleashed as most of you have probably been rocking it on various sound carrier devices for the past week or so. While the theme of “Hey Jude” was a bit of a shock to me, the selection of tunes bearing said name was very refreshing. I’d like to contribute to the cause if I may by adding in one that Mr. Grogan missed. Whether it be by accident or on purpose remains a mystery, but in any event…

Please download and enjoy “Hey Jude” as performed by the Temptations.
Get yourself a copy of the classic long player “Puzzle People”. For that matter, any of the famous “Psychedelic Soul” albums in the rich discography are required listening in my opinion…

As I mentioned earlier, I had a couple of rare Richie Havens selections that also fit the bill quite nicely that I wanted to throw in the pot, so here they are…

Please download and enjoy “Rocky Raccoon”, recorded live from the Santa Monica Civic Center circa March 1971. It is a 5 MB .mp3 file.

Please also download and enjoy “Lady Madonna”, recorded live at the Beat Club, an .mp3 file, 2 MB

And as another bonus, here’s a deep album cut from the mighty Bill Withers…

Please download and enjoy “Let It Be”, an .mp3 file, 2 MB

If you don’t own a copy of “Just As I Am” yet, get one. Once again, required listening from start to finish, not to mention the presence of Booker T. Jones and company providing the soulful grooves, but I stated that once before…

Thank you for taking time out of your hectic schedules to allow me these indulgences, and trust me, if you scroll down the page a bit, the next post will be of significant importance as I unveil what I now feel is my most prized possession. I’ve learned plenty about crate digging from some very distinguished people, and the fact that my name sometimes comes up in the same conversation as these individuals makes me feel not only proud, but honoured… I’m glad that I can be able to make the contributions… I’ll see you all soon.

Peace and blessings.

Havens also does a very nice version of ‘Strawberry Fields Forever’.
    Nice work!
